Description
A sleeper of the vintage, d’Angludet’s 1996 reveals an opaque purple color, as well as a powerful, rich, black currant-scented nose with cedar, weedy tobacco, licorice, and earth in the background. Dense, backward, and atypically powerful and unevolved for a wine from this well-run chateau, this boldly made, tannic, yet impressively endowed wine will have a long lifeline.
