Description
The history of Château Lafite dates from far back. On an estate that already had vines, Jacques de Ségur gave structure to the vineyard at the end of the seventeenth century and the reputation of his wines is establishing at a good level. His son Alexander expanded the estate by marrying in 1695 the heiress of Latour. Nicolas-Alexandre, who built the prestige and reputation of Lafite at the beginning of the 18th century, was born from this union, with the wine being a favorite in Versailles and already in the UK.
